Broholmer Weight & Calorie Guide

The Broholmer is a massive Danish mastiff breed, nearly extinct in the mid-20th century and revived through dedicated breeding programs. Originally used to guard estates and hunt wild boar, they are gentle giants with a broad, powerful frame, loose skin, and a calm, friendly disposition. Despite their intimidating size, Broholmers are known for being patient and good-natured with family. As a giant breed, hip and elbow dysplasia are primary concerns, and excess weight puts devastating strain on their joints.
